Terrible experience with Golan's. Treated our belongings without care. Period. Damage to prove it, especially in the storage of the goods, and wrapping with tape directly on wood furniture. Read below about the claim process -- same happened here. "take it or leave it,' rude, etc.

I am yet another victim of this company. Selecting Golan Movers to handle my move was the worst business decision I have ever made. I was quoted one price and when it was all said and done I ended up paying twice the amount quoted. I had to constantly call for status and my furniture was still delivered four days late. Golan's only concern is collecting its money.



My dining room table was damaged and I have little faith that I wall be compensated fairly.

When the movers arrived -- several hours late -- they barely spoke english. One was barefoot. Several of our items, in addition to water damage, were broken or missing. The movers accidentally left a shipping schedule of all the deliveries they were making on their trip, and it turned out our stuff had traveled from Chicago to Georgia to Florida to South Carolina and to North Carolina before showing up in DC. I'm guessing that's what helps them keep costs low, but also contributed to the crushed, wet boxes that held our belongings.



Golan's is awful. We moved from Chicago to Washington DC and 5 of our boxes arrived wet. WET! How do boxes that are supposed to be on a truck arrive wet? Customer service was at Golan's was very hands off after pickup; I was emailed a link describing the process of how to file a claim. No personal contact whatsoever. Also, to file a claim with Golan's you have to use a third party company.
