Dr. Novak is Board-Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, specializing in interventional pain management. She has practiced medicine for over 28 years. Dr. Novak earned her Bachelors degree in biology, Magna Cum Laude, from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. After medical school, Dr. Novak completed a transitional year at Medical College of Georgia, followed by her residency (Anesthesiology) at Medical College of Georgia. After completing her residency, Dr. Novak completed a Pain Management Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine. Dr. Novak is a member of American Pain Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and International Spine Injection Society. She has received numerous honors including the Reinsurance Reporter Author Award, Alpha Sigma Nu - The National Jesuit Honor Society and Zeta Scholar Award - Phi Beta Kappa. In her free time, Dr. Novak enjoys gardening, scuba diving with her daughter, ballroom dancing and reading.
