I wanted to let anyone that is looking for long distance movers that it is a experience that is a grueling one at the beginning. Also to trust a moving company with your items. My experience working with University began with Matt coming out to quote the move . I felt very comfortable right away with him, being honest and sincere with all my questions I had asked him. And before he left , I said let's schedule it right away.( You know when your gut instinct kicks in) He had told us we could come see the warehouse and pick up some supplies that were needed and also was shown around. (The warehouse manager was very accomodating) We met Michelle Pankow who sat down with us and explained the contract in depth and knowing my issues that I had questioned about , she had made everything work out to the scheduling , to the drivers , how many men came out that day, etc. Michelle followed up quite often to see if I had any other questions and even the day of the move. The 3 gentleman that came out were Johnny Jones(the driver) Carl, and Chris. Everyone was very nice and easy to work with!

When I got to Florida, the guys were actually here already waiting for us to arrive. So what timing! Couldn't ask for anything more! The one thing I would suggest to anyone , when the guys come, see if you can get friends/ family members to help you . Because they are quick and efficient and you want to open boxes up as quickly as possible so they can bring more in. Johnny and Carl were so eager to help out with placement of furniture and even if it needed to be moved a few times ( you know women). Everything was all accounted for and it felt good to know these two guys were very professional at what they do! My whole experience with this move, I would give everyone who I spoke about 10's !!! Everyone exceeded all of our expectations!!! And we would truly advise anyone that you can absolutely put your faith in this company. It's definately the people that make the experience a perfect one!!

MOVING IS ALWAYS A STRESSFUL TIME AND NOT EVER HAVING MOVED OUT OF STATE, WE WERE NOT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT. WELL, UNIVERSITY/NORTH AMERICAN VAN LINES, WAS JUST GREAT! FROM THE FIRST VISIT FOR OUR APPRAISAL UNTIL THE LAST BOX WAS UNLOADED AT OUR FINAL DESTINATION. MICHELLE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL AND MORE OF A DELIGHT TO WORK WITH. SHE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, HELPFUL, AND WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR ANYTHING I NEEDED. THANKS, MICHELLE!! AND OUR MOVER, BRAD COLE, DID A FABULOUS JOB GETTING ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS TO OUR FINAL DESTINATION WITH NO PROBLEMS. EVERYTHING ARRIVED AS WAS PROMISED AND NOTHING WAS BROKEN. HIS CREW ALSO DID A GREAT JOB MOVING OUR STUFF AND IN SOME QUITE WARM WEATHER.

UNIVERSITY/NORTH AMERICAN WAS A FAIR PRICE AND DID A WONDERFUL JOB FOR US AND WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER.

University Moving and Storage just moved my daughter to her first apartment and did their consistently fantastic job. They have moved me and my husband several years ago when we got married and we great then and are even better now. They arrived on time and really hustled the last hour to get the job done in the time quoted. They weer friendly and handled everything perfectly. I will recommend without reservation. Thanks again!

In 1999 I was transferred from California to Michigan and my furniture had to be stored for two months until our house was ready to move into. University Moving and Storage of Farmington Hills, Michigan was chosen to be the company that stored and eventually moved us into our new home. As a result of that experience, I chose University to move, store and re-move us in 2010. From the moment I began dealing with Matt and Teresa at University until the moment John and his crew left our new home in Ohio, I was treated as a very important person. Teresa Besse and John Conway are the epitomy of professionalism and our belongings were treated as if they belonged to University itself. Our possessions wre handled at least 1/2 dozen times from storage to move-in and nothing was damaged or lost. I would highly recommend University Moving and Storage to anyone anticipating a move or storage. They are the best and the most reliable moving company I have dealt with and I know because I have been transferred or relocated no less than 8 times in my career and life.

We moved from Tulsa, OK to Michigan for a corporate relocation and Teresa couldn't have been more helpful. She was available to answer questions anytime and called frequently to see if there were any problems or concerns. I would reccomend University to anyone moving.

We just completed a move from Ann Arbor to Rochester, NY. Teresa was very helpful and professional, calling periodically to make sure things were on track for our move, which required about a month of storage since we were on an international trip between packing up and moving in. The guy (last name was something like Gamage) who unpacked our things was very friendly and meticulous. He seemed to have a photographic memory since he recalled little details of things that had lost their tags and was able to account for everything except for one table leg that he later found and mailed back to us later. Although we're still unpacking boxes, so far nothing has come up that was damaged by the movers, and everyhing has been accounted for (although remembering where we packed everything is a problem - but that's not the mover's fault).

In addition to the great service, their price quote was also very good. Very highly recommended.

If you are looking for a mover that is intrested in you and your posessions - than look no further. University is with out a doubt the best relocation experience that I have had.



From Matt Adams, the sales agent to Teresa Besse, the move coordinator, I was getting calls and updates to make sure that things were going well before, during and after - They really cared and quickly resolved and issues that I had.



The best part was the team of Chuck, Jimmy and Dave who packed my house, loaded it and unloaded at my new address. They were professional, very careful with all our house hold goods and attentive to special requests. They also were ajoy to have in the house and be around - I have worked with other crews and none of them even come close to the University crew!



Not that I am looking to throw money around, but I felt that I got my money's worth and then some. I also know that if another relocation comes my way, University WILL be the only company I will call - period!



You can shop around and maybe you could get a cheaper deal, but you will not get the professionalism - I guarantee it!!!!

University Moving and Storage did a wonderful job with our move from North Carolina to Tennessee. Teresa, our service rep, was just wonderful in answering any and all our questions. She kept us posted of all info and made sure we were prepared with dates, time and info.



My husband and I would also like to say how pleased we were with our packer/ driver, Greg. He was really helpful and professional. I wasn’t there for the actual packing but my husband said he must have a PhD in packing. And he was just as helpful and timely on the drop-off day. There were some tricky moves getting upstairs with a couple of large, heavy items and Greg worked hard to make it happen. He was just great.



Thanks to Teresa and Greg for making our move as stress-free a process as possible. We definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to make a household move.

I would like to give your firm the highest marks possible. The people we did business with were cordial, and very helpful with a very difficult job. My sister Marie has lived in her home for close to 50 years and I have lived in mine for approximately 35. Moving this business from Plymouth to Westland is a first big move for both of us. Your people were very helpful. The gentlemen who did the actual move were professional and obviously very experienced. They came into our Forest Ave office and went immediately to work. It was very impressive to watch them move out the display cases, counters ( 1 made of glass that they carefully wrapped) and a very large odd shaped table top without any hesitation. It was surprising how quickly they loaded their truck and headed to Westland.



I would certainly recommend your firm should the opportunity present it self.

Teresa and her team did an excellent job on my move from Sedalia to Akron. Definitely will recommend them to anyone.

Your team, headed by Ken, did a great job for us this weekend. We put them to the test by moving a massive entertainment center to the lower level through a narrow stairway. They did it without any issues. The entire team worked at a good pace and were always asking if we needed help with anything else. I would highly recommend your company to others.

University Moving is THE company to work with if you need to move. In the past, whenever I moved, I would rent a truck and try to do things myself. Let me tell you - After working with University Moving, I will never do that again.



My experience with them was great. I had a very tight schedule and they accommodated my needs without an issue. They are extremely careful with your belongings. Nothing that I had moved was damaged in any way. The movers that worked with me were great guys that clearly enjoyed their job, had great attitudes, and worked very hard. They go the extra mile to do things the right way. Plus, University's rates are very reasonable. Definitely worth checking out.

My mother and I used the services of University Moving in March 2010. From the very beginning the customer service was personal and professional. University confirmed time, cost and location with a courtsey per confrimation. They were prompt with arrival, and took care of business; even the little details were addressed...Like laying out carpet liners so that during the move the carpet in the new home won't get soiled :) My Movers, Mike D. and John C. were awesome!!! I would refer University to every and anyone I encounter, for local moving and corporate! Calling University Moving took one phone call, and from there they serviced us with care and the BEST Professional service from the beginning to the end!!! Best of all you even recieve a discount with your AAA membership card! Great rartes, Excellant service and a discount.. .things kept getting better !
