For the last two weeks Angela worked hand in hand with our staff and overhauled many of the ways we do business. It was not a stress free process but it was a successful one. She showed us what we could accomplish when we matched the right people with the right tools and systems. I can honestly say we now work smart and more efficiently than ever and that alone is a big part of our new found success. I look forward to seeing the results build as the days and months go by.

What impressed me most about CBS was their hands on approach and commitment to our success. They don’t just hand us a binder like the last company we worked with. Instead, they gave us reports and suggestions while working beside us implementing it all. I’m confident that the foundation we’ve built with CBS will help us finally achieve the success and growth we know we are capable of.

Over the last two decades me and my two brothers have run a services based business with the help of our extended family. While this has allowed us to expand and keep a high level of quality it has also presented organizational issues and headaches. We hired corporate business solutions to specifically come in and help us reorganize our business structure and processes from the top down. We have just completed the process now and we still have a lot to go through I have nothing but positive things to say about CBS and more specifically Peter. He has been an honest operator throughout the whole process.

I have used this company in the past when I worked for a different company. It was my idea to bring them in so I have as much on the line as they do. Paul already came in with an understanding of our business that was actually quite shocking to us. I was already familiar with the idea of UDE’s from the last company I worked at some I saw value in what Paul was trying to do. This was what It took to get ownership to finally make the hard changes that I had been trying to push through the last two years. Paul took the lead on the implementation front and I made sure we had buy in from the people who were necessary to effect change. I am thankful for Paul’s time and effort and would have no issue working with him for a third time.

Matt has given us real guidance and a path to what I feel is more financial success than we have been able to achieve to date. Our last two years have some of our worst since the lockdowns. We now have the tools and process in place to not only bid on more projects but to better evaluate which contracts we should actively avoid. If I am honest our estimating department has been the cause of many of our headaches over the years. Matt was able to help us get it under control and totally overhaul it. Without his knowledge and patience, I am not sure we would be so confident about our future.

Just wanted to leave a short note about our experience with this company. While it was an enormous undertaking both in the outlay of financial resources and also with them working on-site, I am VERY optimistic about the outcome. It has only been a few weeks since they left but they have been very communicative and answered every question I have sent their way. They had promised me that they would be there to support us even after their time was up and they have been truthful. We won’t know the full extent of the changes we have made but so far so good. I will probably update this at some point in the future.

I knew after the first few days we were in good hands with Daniel and the rest of his team from CBS. We mostly worked on our sales and reporting processes. Daniel was correct in that most of our issues stemmed from us basing our decisions on faulty reporting data. How could we seriously expect to project out labor and material costs when we had no real idea what they had been historically. It was an eye-opening experience to realize that jobs we thought were profitable turned out to be an actual net loss. Daniel helped us make the necessary changes and I am confident that once we consistently execute we will be in a much better position than we had been.

With respect to our experience with CBS and more specifically Thomas J. I wanted to just state how pleased we were with his ability to connect with our staff and the knowledge he brought during the three weeks he was in our offices. He helped us rework how we bid out new jobs/projects. From how we came to our real overhead labor costs to what markups we were charging for materials. I was worried that we would not be as competitive but after sitting down with Thomas he showed us that the jobs we were worried about losing in bid were ones we would lose money on anyway. This alone has changed how we approach new business and has already had a positive impact on the health of our company.

I wanted to extend our thanks and gratefulness for the time CBS and Kevin spent at our offices. The effort and information that he has provided us over the course of our engagement was money well spent. Now that he has left we will miss him and the depth knowledge he brought about our industry. The next year will be a make or break one for us and I am finally confident that with the changes Kevin helped implemented we are set up for success.

I wanted to give a big thank you to CBS for an amazing job working with us on a whole host of issues. During our time working together, I learned a lot about how my business is doing financially and how it runs day-to-day. Your help in setting up weekly management meetings and fixing our financial system will make a big difference for us moving forward.

Our most recent project with Raul has been a success mostly due to the exceptional support Raul and his team provided us. His expertise and dedication were what set him and CBS apart from previous companies we have brought in over the last few years. His experience and ability to tailor strategies and processes to fit with not only our specific industry but also in a way that would maximum our rate of growth was valuable to us. He has been an invaluable partner to us during is time on-site.

It was an interesting experience working with CBS these last few weeks. When we were first approached, I was overwhelmed with the day-to-day tasks and felt like I was wearing too many hats. Our consultant Stephen made me realize it was not feasible for me to continue to take on the number of roles I was. I needed help separating my tasks and responsibilities into buckets and delegate them to the right people and if they didn’t exist to hire them. Frankly this was the most difficult and stressful part of the whole process and ate up most of the engagement. Still being able to finally move things off my plate so I can focus on the more important aspects of our business was a big win and one that was worth the money.

During my time in business, I have developed a keen eye for recognizing dedicated people. This team was exceptional in their ability to understand our needs, provide clear advice, and streamline operations without adding unnecessary complexity. We have used CBS on four occasions over the last decade. The last of which taking place just this last summer and ending in late October. The gentleman we worked with was Thomas and he went out of his way to help us transition through purchasing two new locations. He was an asset to the change in ownership of those locations and helped us plan out our onboarding process. We usually open new locations from scratch so this was the first time we were going through this process.
