Each person I came in contact with were approachable, personable, and professional. There were some hiccups along the way with communication and delays, but we worked through them. In the end, the craftsmanship is really good and we are very pleased with the finished product.

The product met our expectations for our small 700 square foot basement project and our experience with Matrix was satisfactory overall.

We used Matrix to finish our basement, mostly selected them due to the mold resistant materials and the insulation within the walling system, and we were very satisfied with the final project. The cost was a little high, and we did encounter some delays, but I think that would happen with any contractor you find to finish your basement, and the project was completed in just over two months too, and that was around the holiday season too. The project manger, Brian, was on top of our project all the time, and was always prompt in getting back with us on any issue we saw. We did do a lot of our own work ourselves to save on some costs too, and the overall final product looks great, and our daughter loves playing down there every day too.

We hired Matrix to finish our substantial sized basement after having 5 floods in 6 years. The planning meetings took the amount of time I expected they would and we were satisfied with the process.

We started with Matrix in mid-October and with the exception of the punch list, are finished. Victor and Daniel were great to have around! They were for the most part, timely, and very communicative about what we could expect. Brian made every attempt to accommodate our requests.

As far as cost goes, Matrix will not be the cheapest basement system you will find, but in the long run, I am quite sure the investment will be worth it. And, it is a unique, quality and beautiful product!

They have an innovative product that provides great insulation and finish. They gave me a tour of the company and found a very collegial and friendly working environment. They are very flexible with their product, from DIY to the most detailed worry-free finishings. The work was completed in about 10 weeks from start to finish. They give you a contact for your project who is always responsible and problem solving. Before completion they do a walk through that found many more touch-up issues that we did. Shows commitment for satisfaction and excellence. The only issues were with contractors as they were not always on time and they could have been more tidy.

Matrix Basement Systems made finishing our basement easy. We had a consultative appointment with a designer who met with us to understand our needs, and made suggestions on our layout and design. When the work began, the builders where polite and keep our upstairs clean. They keep us updated on their progress, and answered/addressed all our concerns. We also coordinated painting through the Matrix. They did a consult on color, and the painter was great to work with. Very little stress, and now we have a great basement!

Just finished our basement couple months ago. Highly professional and good communication through out the project. Clean, professional workmanship, and could barely feel them working around. Very satisfied and happy with the final product. Highly recommended.

The crew that completed our basement were extremely knowledgeable to the jobs that needed to be done and they were considerate to our family when working. Good quality work and product was provided to us.

We finished a portion of our basement creating a large family room, a pantry and a HUGE walk in closet. I absolutely LOVE it! Other than having to walk down the stairs, one would NEVER know this was a basement!

Matrix recently completed our basement finishing project. They did a fantastic job and like a review or two below, doors seemed to be a problem and caused a delay in the completion date. However, materials for each phase of the project were delivered when appropriate so that our basement was not cluttered while the work was going on. Our dog even served as the project foreman. Their workers were considerate, prompt, reliable, responsible, and friendly. Some contractors seem to have an attitude that irritates, but we had none of that with the Matrix team.

Overall I am very satisfied with my basement renovation. If you look at other reviews out there I can agree with some of the comments that they made regarding timely communication and the job taking longer than anticipated because they were waiting on some door panels. There were definitely areas for improvement but again the overall end product was what we expected.

Matrix Basements is a great solution for anyone who is looking for a water-resistant basement solution. Matrix is one of only two companies that have a water-resistant solution and the other company was twice as expensive. We live in an area where we experience flooding and our basement has flooded twice in the past eight years. It brings us great peace of mind that we now have walls, insulation, and flooring that can withstand another flood, if we have one. It is true that traditional drywall and insulation is cheaper, but we have already done that twice and had to rip out the walls both times. Gutting and refinishing your basement again and again is both costly and stressful. That is why we choose Matrix.



Additionally, the people were very good. Phil G and his installation team (Miguel, Adrian, and Rich) were great. The team worked hard, had good attention to detail, and were extremely trustworthy. They constantly demonstrated that they cared about getting the project right, rather than just finishing and moving on to the next job. That made the process much more enjoyable for my wife and me. We would recommend Matrix to other families who are looking for a water resistant basement solution.

Thank you Matrix Team! I have nothing but positives to say about this company. The design was exactly to the point of what I had visioned in my head. Their work was installed fast and worked around my schedule. Always cleaned up after themselves everyday. Bottom line, going with this company vs a local contractor was worth every penny. I would recommend them to anyone! Instead of our kitchen being our hang out, now it's our basement when friends and family come by . Phil and the installation team really did a great job to answer all of our questions and get everything the way we wanted. We recommend seeing an open house because it really helped us visualize what we wanted to do with the space.

Matrix recently completed our basement project and we had a great experience. Our basement build was rather complex and did have many nuances along the way but the production team did a great job of working with us throughout the process to ensure we were happy with the outcome. It was a big investment but well worth it. We love our basement, thank you Matrix!

Stay away.I signed up for an estimate at Ribfest in Naperville. �I spoke with one Loren from this location. �On the day of my appointment they called me to tell me that my appointment was cancelled due to my not confirming that I had an appointment. �When I referenced the email that I had confirming my appointment, I did not hear back from them again. �I decided to give them another shot, so I called them back for an estimate. �I mentioned that they did not get back to me previously, so they sent the Director of Sales to my house for a meeting. �The meeting was supposed to be between 60 and 90 minutes. �The meeting ended up being 2 1/2 hours. �The guy, Brian, was nice and we had agreed on a date that he would have drawings and a quote to me. �He came out on 9/16, and was supposed to have the quote to me on 9/19. �I had to call back to see what happened to my quote. �So I called back on 9/23, and was told that the President of the company would call me back the next day.I have not heard from anyone at this company since then.If I can't even get a response when trying to purchase something from them, I wonder what kind of service I would get after I paid them!!

Just had my basement finished from the Matrix team. It only took 3 weeks to finish 1200 square feet. I must say that I was sold on the product prior to purchasing it, but was even more sold on the product once it was finished. The crew was awesome. Very kind and neat. It feels like I have a new home!!! The one thing that made me feel great was the building inspector was raving about the product. He talked about the water and fire proof and thinks this should be the new standard for basements.
