Who can install mold free basements? Only matrix. Which is exactly why they were our only choice after interviewing a few other competing companies.

Matrix Basements has a sweet system and I would have given it a five but there were some upsets nothing against Nick nor his employees. There in a business to make money and their product looked nice. Id suggest not to finance it because their interest rates are a little high unless you know for sure you could pay it off right away. I couldnt so I backed down. If I ever get a hold of the amount to pay for it up front then I will come back to Matrix because their system smokes everyone else that I spoke to.

Customer service was excellent. I was very pleased when Nick and Brian kept in touch during the entire construction. Mario and Gabriel were both helpful and courteous. The workers were here on Saturdays working to finish the project faster.

I have been watching my neighbor and best friend's basement turn into the most beautiful basement remodeling project. It is definitely not the same place it was 3 1/2 weeks ago. I'm so motivated to get mine done now. She now has a great space for her kids to play plus an extra family room and a powder room. The space is warm and comfortable. I was considering doing an addition project but now that I see what the basement transformed into......I now think this basement remodel is a way better option for the money. She had a great experience with Matrix Basements and seeing it for myself....I'm going to be next! Judy / Naperville

We had our basement installation approximately 8 months ago. The installation was three times longer than expected, installed the electrical components below code, without permission they cut a hole in our wall to remove the window (to load items into the basement) and improperly replaced it, and left huge seams on EVERY panel joint which shows through the professional paint job. Not to mention the thick coat of dust left on everything when they left our house. We now have a huge crack from ceiling to floor and cannot get them to return our calls to fix the problem. While our actual work crew were the NICEST men possible - the company's management, customer service, and sales are horrific. Maybe this review will finally get their attention?????????

Our interaction with Matrix started ok and ended HORRIBLE. One of our neighbors had an open house, we loved what we saw, so we signed up for a free consulation. Well 3 HOURS later, we still loved the product but when we said we wanted to really think over the cost (just for one night)... our salesman went from okay to RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, INSULTING etc.. In addition, he had a "new trainee" with him... what a horrible example and mentor. Some of the verbatim comments were "oh i was going to say congrats on your new basement but nevermind", "the goal is for me NOT to have to come back", and I couldn't have counted all the *sighs* with a calculator. Sad part is we really believe in the product and were legit about making a deal...now we will wait till another company produces it. DONT waste your time on a company that clearly only wants your money. PS They claim there are "no bad reviews" out there (athough he showed us a "brag book" that had several concerning comments)...well they are wrong ... and here is another one! One last thing... you dont have to worry about coming back now!!

The workers did a great job on the basement! They left the area clean. You could not tell construction or remodel was going on. Workers and Contractor were very professional and did a great job of explaining the remodel to us. Very accomodating to what we wanted done to our basement! We could not be happier!

The installers (Alex, Jose, Mario) were wonderful. They helped me get everything back where it belonged. The electrician was came was also very easy and nice to work with. The workmen were very coureous and seemed so trustworthy that I decided it was okay to leave them there while I went to work. Everyday when I came home I was very impressed.



I am very impressed with the system and how quickly and neat things are done, I would recommend this to anyone!

Our basement finishing project consisted of almost 700 sq./ft. of space. Matrix Basement Systems did walls, ceiling, electrical, flooring, trim and doors in 2 weeks! They wanted to work Saturday but we were going out of town otherwise it would have been faster. We were amazed! Super fast install and good work to go with it.

Matrix Basements finished our basement in 2009 and we had a few mis-haps after we settled in. One fine crack formed in the wall and our son kicked a soccer ball through a ceiling tile!



We called Matrix to explain these two minor issues and they sent out their service tech within 2 days and fixed the problems at no cost. We haven't had a problem since and we love that they provide quick service. This meant a lot to us!

We had our basement finished by Matrix a month ago and we are loving our new basement! The product is water and mold proof and that is why we chose Matrix. We get occasional seapage when it rains hard. Recently we had a small amount of water in our basement and the walls were not affected at all! We have the carpet squares that Matrix provides and we just pulled up a few tiles and put them back down. If we would have installed drywall and a roll of carpet we would have been tearing it out.



The workers were great and the staff was very informative and kept us updated throughout the process. Overall it was one of the best home improvement experiences we've had.

My husband and I decided to have Matrix Basement Systems finish our basement and we were very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and service. The product is what sold us because it cannot be damaged by water or moisture. It looks just like a regular wall which really suprised us. We thought it might look modular like some of the other "systems" that are available but it looks great!We would give Matrix 5 stars and have already referred them to several friends and neighbors.
