We live in the Atlanta area but everytime we get down to Savannah or St. Simons Island we make a point of going to Love's Seafood. We went a few months ago and it was wonderful, as usual. We have taken many relatives and friends over the years and have never been disappointed. Our favorite is the White Gulf Shrimp dinner. Now, those same friends and relatives make it a must stop whenever they travel anywhere near Savannah. Our Georgia District Civitans are having it's convention in August, 2011 and we already have a group planning to drop by Love's for good seafood, good service, a beautiful sunset over the river and many smiling faces.. We just can't wait!

As a Savannah native now living in California, I visit the area at least once, if not twice, a year. In a week or so my plane will land at Savannah International Airport...and I will hit the ground running, straight to Love's. I will order the alligator fingers and the Georgia white shrimp...and will take some "home" with me. And until the next time I visit Savannah, I will dream about the seafood served there.

We ordered the Seafood Platter - fried, with grits & red rice, along with two side salads. The platter is lightly fried and a gracious plenty for two! Our waitress is Caroline and she is so sweet, just like the song! Love's is certainly one place you'll not want to pass by. We like to sit out on the glassed in "porch" overlooking the river. There is also outdoor seating available as well as several dining rooms inside. Love's offers a full bar and a menu that offers something for everyone.

My husband and I recently visited Love's for our wedding anniversary as we have for many years. I have never had a bad experience at Love's in all my years of dining there. As usual we were extremely satisfied with the service and food and especially the view. Our server, Renee, was very pleasent and not once did we see her without a smile. My family and I have lived in South Georgia our entire lives and not once have we found a more relaxing environment and spectacular food as we do at Love's.

The fried shrimp has a nice tasty batter. The garden salad was huge with a very generous side of blue cheese dressing. Service is quick, efficient, and friendly. A good bet!

All you can eat shrimp for $17.99. The Crab Balls are amazing - they are filled with deviled crab meat. Yummy. The restaurant sits on the river. It is very close off of I-95. We also tried the bone-in fried catfish. Excellent meals all the way around. Outside patio dining, and great views from inside air conditioned areas. Their menu is extensive with a variety of local seafood. Many locals dine here. Definitely worth the stop.

I went to Savannah for a job interview and found Loves Seafood by searching Savannah Restaurants online. Two people that work at Bass Pro Outdoor World told me how to get there and that it was a good place to eat. I may not get the job but I have found a new restaurant that I have already recommended to two people. My brother and I both enjoyed our meal, the service was great and the building was beautiful.
