Provided by YP.comThe service that we received from Fred's was nothing short of exceptional. We received an appointment call within minutes of reporting to KitchenAid a problem with our dishwasher. Your customer service team also sent us follow-up calls to remind us of the service window, and our technician, "Luke," called prior to arriving. I cannot say enough good things about Luke. He was professional, exceptionally courteous, and competent. He quickly diagnosed the problem (which had been misdiagnosed by a previous tech from a different company), and then fixed it. Luke answered any and all questions that I had and explained his work. He even wanted to make sure that I completely understood what I was being billed for. He is very mature for such a young man and a fine representative of your Company. Fred's magnet is now fixed in a prominent place on our refrigerator with Luke's name written on it. The repair was not inexpensive, but customer service "helps the medicine go down." Nice work and thank you!

Provided by YP.comOur service technician CHRIS was great. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He was able to replace the complex wiring harness on our Frigidaire dishwasher quickly and efficiently. He was a great representative for Fred's Appliance! I'd give him and Fred's 5 Stars out of five.

Provided by YP.comI would never use this company again. Our Referitgator stopped cooling so I automatically called our Home warranty company and was scheduled an appointment with Fred's Appliance. When the tech showed up he simply plugged in the unit, stood back for a couple of seconds and then opened the door and looked at the temps to see what I had them set to. He then turned to me a said everything is fine and wrote me up for $75. He was in my home for a maximum of 10 minutes. He didn't look at the fan, compressor nothing! When I told him that I thought $75 was excessive considering he did nothing he was extremly rude and told me that, that was too bad and that it was standard procedure to pay a service fee. I explained to him that I was fine with paying a service fee but I just thought that $75 for what he did (or in this case what he didn't) do was not reasonable. When I asked to speak to his office manager he was extremly defensive and rude. When I finally was able to talk to someone at the office she was the exact same way. So I am now left with a fridge that I'm not even sure what to do with because it will not keep temperatures a bill of $75 and a whole lot of frustration! I will never recomend this company or use them in the future. I filed a complaint with my warranty company as well as the BBB. I would recomend to go else where. Save yourself some money and the frustration.
First, let me apologize if any member of our staff was being rude or confrontational. That is not how we run our business and that will certainly be addressed. That is not acceptable behavior. I am sorry that your warranty company did not advise you of the charges you would incur for a service call. The service fee we charge is for the trip to the home, the diagnoses of the problem and to create an estimate for repair. The technician noted that the unit was unplugged upon arrival which makes it difficult to diagnose the problem. He did make sure the condensor fan, evaporater fan and compressor all started. He checked the airflow through the fresh food section and made sure that was ok as well. The unit appeared to be functioning properly after being plugged back in. We do have a 30 day guarantee on our service call and the technician advised, if the problem continued with the refrigerator not cooling, to please keep the unit plugged in and to call our office. We would return without charging you another service fee. Again, I do apologize for any inconvenience or mis-communication on our part. We certainly stand by our service charge guarantee, and if you are still having issues, we would be happy to send a different technician to your home to get the problem resolved.

Provided by YP.comI found Fred's Appliance service person to be polite and to the point. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. My service call was totally foolish --- I didn't get the light bulb in correctly so I called the manufacturer. The Manufacturer had a person who had no clue about the refridgerator...they could not answer my questions...only told me to schedule service call. Long story short...Fred's person came in, tightened my light bulb (correctly) and fixed my problem without making me feel like a jerk. So....yes...Fred's saved me quite a bit of money because I was contemplating just buyin a new fridge vs. fixing it. Fridge is over l0 years old. Sure glad I called Fred's. Word of warning to everyone....take your time and check the obvious....don't listen to the manufacturer who only employs the Peggy's of the World who has no clue about the product you bought.

Provided by YP.comMy technician Brian taught me how to make my dryer function properly. He even explained about the vents and covers which I had never seen the end outside. He was very nice and calm in showing me how to check for blockage to keep everything flowing

Provided by YP.comWhile the service technician was knowledgeable, courtious, and very good with my three dogs, the main office's phone system was problematic in that there is no way to bypass the automation and talk to a human. My phone number was entered incorrectly and there was no other way to get to a human. I highly recommend the service, they just seriously need to address the way customers can contact them.
Hello Bruce, I apologize you had some trouble with our appointment confirmation system. 99% it works perfectly. Sometimes technology is cumbersome though. But all-in-all it's a super fast way for a customer to confirm or cancel their appt 24 hours a day 7 days a week without have to wait in line to talk to an agent. If you ever need to speak to a person, just press 2 during normal business hours. Your comments are very important to me.

He was friendly, competent and made sure that I understood the problem and what to look for in the future. Great service!

Rob A showed up and quickly had the microware down and repaired within 30 minutes.
It freed up the rest of my morning.

Provided by YP.comBrian's the man from Fred's; very personable, professional and knowledgeable. Had problem with my stove (burner out) Brian came on the seen and quickly determined the problem; new burner had to be ordered and arrived the next day. Due to other comitments (by me) I had to schedule the burner installation one week later. One week later Brian was on the seen again, quickley installed the burner, tested that it worked properly, and it did. Brian then left. Not the frist time Fred's has serviced an appliance of mine; it was about a year ago. Total satisfaction with Fred's service.

Provided by YP.comLuke was great!! I had many, many issues with a PREVIOUS repair company for warranty work. I called Whirlpool to request a different repair company and they sent Fred's Appliance. They scheduled my appointment and were out to fix my washer the next day. Laura was very pleasant and accommodating on the phone. Luke was extremely pleasant, professional and polite. He did a wonderful job and made sure the washer was fixed properly. I would highly recommend Fred's Appliance and I will be calling Whirlpool to let them know they should give out the Fred's Appliance name and number for repairs. Thank you for a great job and excellent customer service!
